Company history of Sicherhaid GmbH
Since 1974, Sicherhaid GmbH has been synonymous with reliable, modern security technology in Tyrol. What began as a small business under the name Schlüsselring has developed over five decades into a diversified security specialist – characterized by family values, trustworthiness, and genuine down-to-earthness.
Our mission has remained the same from the very beginning: to provide reliable protection for people and businesses. Today, as in the past, we are involved in the business ourselves on a daily basis, remain close to our customers, and focus on long-term relationships rather than short-term solutions.
The beginnings (1974–1991)
In 1974, Peter Haid and his wife Annemarie Haid founded the Schlüsselring company at Höttinger Au 64. Even back then, the focus was on precision craftsmanship, customer service, and honest advice—values that continue to shape the company today.
During the 1976 Winter Olympics, the company was one of the first in Tyrol to introduce a daily emergency service. This became a central part of our service and continues to this day – now in the modern form of a daily emergency service from 8 a.m. to midnight, 365 days a year.
With the ever-growing demand for mechanical security, keys, and repairs, the company quickly established itself as a reliable partner in the Innsbruck area.
Change & Growth (1992–2007)
Markus Haid joined the company in 1992 and continued the family tradition. Together with his wife Barbara "Babsi" Haid, he decided in the following years to lead the business into the next generation.
Markus' arrival also marked the beginning of a new era: electronic security technology—from access control and alarm systems to video surveillance—became increasingly important, and the company developed from a traditional locksmith service into a versatile security specialist.
The branch in Innsbruck-Pradl (Amraser Straße 41) was further expanded and now offered additional workshop and consultation space. At the same time, the team grew steadily, with many employees remaining loyal to the company for decades.
Reorientation & modernization (from 2008)
In 2008, the company moved to its new headquarters at Höttinger Au 51—an important milestone that created space for larger projects, modernized workshops, and new technologies.
In 2009, Markus Haid took over as managing director, while Peter Haid entered his well-deserved retirement. With the reorganisation into Sicherhaid GmbH, a new chapter began with a clear focus: mechanical and electronic security from a single source, combined with family stability and genuine Tyrolean reliability.
Barbara "Babsi" Haid, who has been with the company since 1994, took on increasing responsibility. For many years, she has supported the management in all financial matters, accounting, human resources, and the technical introduction of new software solutions and internal programs.
The next generation (2013–present)
With René Haid (full-time employee since 2019) and Daniel Haid (since 2021), two more family members are now making a significant contribution to the further development of the company. Barbara "Babsi" Haid has been an authorized signatory at Sicherhaid GmbH since 2024, together with René, and is closely involved in the strategic and operational development of the business.
Our team now numbers around 20 specialists, many of whom have been with the company for many years. Loyalty, expertise, accuracy, and mutual respect characterize our everyday work—we prefer to be thorough rather than fast and sloppy. Our 17 vehicles, 13 of which are active service vehicles, enable us to provide reliable support throughout the Tyrol region.
At the same time, the electronics department has been significantly expanded in recent years. Today, we plan and implement state-of-the-art access control systems for hotels and businesses, video surveillance for commercial and private customers, alarm systems, smart cylinder systems, mechanical locking systems, safe solutions, and all repair and service work related to doors and windows.

Sicherhaid GmbH is a second- and third-generation family business—not a corporation, not a franchise, not an anonymous service center. We are actively involved in the business, take responsibility, and have always worked with the best partners and manufacturers in the industry.
