A "normal" key can mean many things—from a simple room key to a high-quality security or locking system key. The price depends on:
- Key type (e.g., serrated key, reversible key, small furniture key, car key)
- Security level (simple vs. copy-protected)
- Manufacturer & system (e.g., EVVA, Winkhaus, Gege, Dormakaba, Dom, KESO)
- Required documentation (e.g., security card or proof of authorization for locking systems)
Tip: Use our order assistant to find out the price or order directly.
Please use our order assistant. It will guide you step by step through all the necessary information.
Yes, this is possible for many models—currently without remote control, but with full functionality for unlocking and driving.
Important information about the immobilizer:
- Since 1995, almost all vehicles have had a security chip in the key.
- We can read and code this chip for many models.
- Please bring the key and the vehicle with you – for testing and, if necessary, coding directly on the car.

You will often find a small sticker with the key number on the inside of the mailbox, e.g.:
- B222, RE033, ER044, etc.
We can use this number to make the key directly.

No. Doors can only be opened if the tenant or authorized person is present in person.
This is for your security and prevents misuse.
There are so-called factory systems or locked locking systems where reorders are only possible with proof (security card, power of attorney). These systems are specially designed so that they cannot be copied without control.
This increases security – but also protects against unauthorized copies.
The processing time depends on the key type:
| Key type | Duration (approximate) |
|---|---|
| Standard room door key | Approx. 5 minutes |
| Workshop/facility key | Approx. 2 hours (depending on the system) |
In cases of high demand or complex profiles, it may take longer – we will inform you directly on site.
BSZ stands for double-sided locking: you can unlock the door even if there is a key in the other side.
If your cylinder cannot do this, it is a standard model.
If necessary, we can retrofit a suitable BSZ cylinder.
The adjusting screw controls functions such as:
- Closing speed
- Final stroke (closing force)
- Opening damping
You can make minor adjustments yourself—if you are unsure, we will be happy to assist you on site.
Opinions differ on this point – but we speak from experience:
- Our in-house cylinder and lock oil from BRUNOX works excellently in most cases.
- Standard WD-40 can also help if the key is difficult to turn or does not lock completely.
Important: Use very sparingly – a small spray is sufficient. It is best to spray lightly with the key removed and then lock and unlock several times.
Tip:
If your cylinder sticks, try this first:
- Blow it out gently
- Then spray with BRUNOX or WD-40
Please avoid grease or classic oils – they attract dust and can cause the cylinder to stick in the long term.
If the key belongs to a locking system managed by a property management company, reorders may only be placed with the appropriate confirmation or security card.
This serves the security of all parties and prevents unauthorized copies.
An installation key belongs to a locking system with defined access authorizations (e.g., a building complex with several apartments).
A simple/individually secured key, on the other hand, only locks a single lock—without being assigned to a larger locking system.
Due to our high customer volume and to avoid errors, we only accept orders in writing or in person.
It is best to use our order assistant or visit us directly in the store.
- Cylinder: The removable locking part into which you insert the key.
- Lock: The entire mechanical system in the door that works together with the cylinder.
Often, replacing the cylinder is sufficient—we will be happy to advise you on site.
