Accessibility Statement

We, Sicherhaid GmbH, strive to make our website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Act implementing the European Accessibility Directive (RL 2019/882) on the accessibility requirements of products and services. In doing so, we comply with the guidelines for accessible web content (WCAG 2.2) as far as possible. This accessibility statement applies to the website www.sicherhaid.com.

STATUS OF COMPLIANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS

Due to the following incompatibilities, this website is only partially compliant with the AA level of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2)".

NON-ACCESSIBLE CONTENT

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

INCOMPATIBILITY WITH ACCESSIBILITY REGULATIONS:

Some images and graphics still have inadequate or missing alternative text. This violates the success criterion for non-text content. We are working to revise appropriate alternative texts for new content immediately and for older content on an ongoing basis.

The deficiencies in the following success criteria will be remedied by our content team and our technical department in the next development cycles, expected to be completed by June 2025:

  • The heading hierarchy does not always correspond to the logical sequence.
  • Individual controls are implemented as links, even though they do not lead to another page or area.
  • Some forms do not have sufficient auto-fill attributes

Our web pages are designed in accordance with current technical capabilities and standards. We have randomly checked the order in which elements are technically displayed in the main content. If you notice any problems with the implementation of individual elements, please send us your suggestions.

We have also randomly checked our website for visual animations and audio and video files. If you find any other audiovisual content for which you still need text alternatives or subtitles, or animations that still require mechanisms to interrupt them, please let us know.

DISPROPORTIONATE BURDEN

Some of our videos do not have audio descriptions. This means that the WCAG success criterion (recorded audio description) is not met. We believe that rectifying this would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. The video on the home page, which plays automatically in the header, does not have audio and therefore does not require audio description.

THESE CONTENTS DO NOT FALL WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE APPLICABLE LEGISLATION

PDF documents and Office documents, mainly older ones, are not accessible. For example, PDF documents are not tagged, so they cannot be accessed and used by screen reader users, or only to an insufficient extent. This means that WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (name, role, value) is not met.
