You'll often find a small sticker on the inside of the mailbox with the key number, for example:
- B222, RE033, ER044, etc.
With this number, we can make the key right away.
If there is no key and no number, the lock will need to be replaced—we have all standard models in stock and ready to ship.

The processing time depends on the key type:
| Key type | Time (Approximate) |
|---|---|
| Standard room door key | approx. 5 minutes |
| Workshop/equipment key | approx. 2 hours (depending on the system) |
It may take longer during peak times or for complex profiles—we’ll let you know right there on the spot.
If the key is part of a locking system managed by a property management company, reorders may only be placed with the appropriate confirmation or security card.
This ensures the security of all parties and prevents unauthorized copies.
A system key is part of a locking system with defined access permissions (e.g., a residential complex with multiple apartments).
A standard key, on the other hand, opens only a single lock—without being associated with a larger locking system.
Due to our high volume of customers and to avoid errors, we only accept orders in writing or in person.
We recommend using our order wizard or stopping by the store.
Special Wrenches
Yes, this is possible for many models—currently without a remote control, but with full functionality for unlocking and driving.
Important information about the immobilizer:
- Since 1995, almost all vehicles have had a security chip in the key.
- We can read and program this chip for many models.
- Please bring the key and the vehicle with you—so we can test it and, if necessary, program it right at the car.

Locks, Cylinders & Technology
We do our best to help you quickly—but depending on our workload and the availability of technicians and materials, we can’t always get everything done on the same day.
We do our best to find timely solutions—often we can get it done within a few days!
BSZ stands for "lockable from both sides": You can unlock the door even if a key is inserted on the other side.
If your cylinder doesn't have this feature, it's a standard model.
If needed, we can retrofit a compatible BSZ cylinder.
The adjustment screw controls functions such as:
- Closing speed
- Final impact (closing force)
- Opening damping
You can make minor adjustments yourself—if you’re unsure, we’ll be happy to assist you on-site.
Opinions differ on this—but we speak from experience:
- Our in-house BRUNOX cylinder & lock oil works excellently in most cases.
- Standard WD-40 can also help if the key is hard to turn or doesn’t lock in place completely.
Important: Use very sparingly—a small spray is enough. It’s best to spray lightly while the key is out of the lock and then lock and unlock the door several times.
Tip:
If your lock cylinder is sticking, try this first:
- Gently blowing into it
- Then spray BRUNOX or WD-40 directly onto the problem area
Please avoid grease or traditional oils—they attract dust and can cause the lock cylinder to seize up over time.
- Cylinder: The removable locking component into which you insert the key.
- Lock: The entire mechanical system inside the door that works in conjunction with the cylinder.
Often, simply replacing the cylinder is enough—we’d be happy to advise you on-site.
